Westmeath Comhairle Na nÓg will be holding their AGM on Wednesday October 27, from 12pm to 4pm in the Bloomfield House Hotel, Mullingar. The event is open to all young people from every area of the county and transport will be provided.
The day will involve presentations from the 2009 Comhairli and a guest speaker for the first part, then after lunch attendees will have the opportunity to participate in workshops of interest to them, for example, the Gardai will have a workshop on what they do.
There will also to be an opportunity for participants to bring forward their views and issues that they feel affect young people in their area, and also to ask young people in their community what issues they would like brought forward.
This is an opportunity for young people to get more involved in the local youth councils and bring their views and issues to the local services and councils in their area, as these organisations have all been invited to attend.
There will be a chance for participants to put themselves forward to be part of the executive group which will lead and represent the Westmeath Comhairle as a whole.
