The Passionfruit Theatre is set to present the award winning Eden, a play by Eugene O'Brien, creator of IFTA-winning RTÉ series Pure Mule. Performed by Rain, Rocks and Reeks Theatre Company, the show will run on Saturday November 6 at 8.30pm.
The play is set in a small provincial town. Billy and Breda's 10th wedding anniversary is looming, and despite having two young children, their marriage has spiralled into a stale monotony, and the distance between them seems to grow by the day.
Billy spends his time with the lads at the local pub leaving Breda at home with the television and the children. Billy clings to booze, and fantasies about a younger woman, while Breda clings onto an inkling of optimism, believing that their big night out will rekindle the spark that once was there.
