To celebrate the Great October Fair in Ballinasloe, Ballinasloe and District Vintage Club, in conjunction with Gullane’s Hotel Ballinasloe, are organising a free vintage parade and static show on Sunday October 10.
Formed in July 2009, Ballinasloe and District Vintage Club now has over 170 members. It is now one of the fastest growing clubs in the area, with members from Galway, Roscommon, Clare, and Mayo. The youngest member is four years of age and the oldest is 93 years old.
The parade and show are open to anybody that has a vintage (pre-1985 ) car, tractor, lorry, or motorbike. Horses and carts, donkeys and carts, and push bikes are all welcome.
Entry is free, and each person who participates will receive a commemorative certificate compliments of Gullane’s Hotel Ballinasloe. Assembly starts at 9am on Sunday October 10 at Gullane’s Hotel car park. Access is beside Bank of Ireland, Main Street, Ballinasloe.
Parking is available free for anybody travelling to the parade and show. The parade starts at 1pm from Gullane’s. Last year there were about 200 entries, and this year the parade is going to be even bigger.
