St Brigid’s back in winners enclosure

Roscommon SFC final

St Brigid’s 0-14

Elphin 0-09

St Brigid’s collected their tenth Roscommon senior football title at the expense of a brave Elphin outfit last Sunday. The Kiltoom men were hot favourites entering the game but were pressed hard by a hungry Elphin side. The sides were level at the break 0-7, a scoreline that flattered the eventual winners.

It was only in the final quarter that the greater fitness and craft of Noel O’Brien’s men began to count and points from Frankie Dolan, Senan Kilbride, and Karol Mannion proved the difference in the end. They can now look forward to a Connacht Club Championship game against Sligo’s Eastern Harps.
