Dean Crowe hosts art exhibition for Culture Night

As part of Westmeath Culture Night, the beautiful Seeking Calm exhibition is opening in the Dean Crowe Theatre in Athlone on Friday September 24 from 6pm to 9pm and running until October 30. This is the artist Dara Enniss’ first solo exhibition, showcasing paintings of vistas by the sea.

The exhibition consists of 20 pieces of artwork, large in scale based on the theme of Seeking Calm; the work is monochromatic, giving a sense of space within the frame, which blends naturally with the contrast of light and dark tones in the paintings.

Dara has had group exhibitions in Galway and Dun Laoghaire in 2000 and 2001. Dara is a graduate of Cluain Mhuire College of Art, Galway; Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design; and Crawford College, Cork.

Her work was purchased by the National Council for Education Awards (NCEA ) and displayed in the Millennium Art Exhibition, Merrion Square, Dublin.

Her exhibition, Seeking Calm runs from Friday September 24 to October 30.
