Once again Arthur Guinness Day returns with this year’s official celebrations taking place in Dublin, Cork, and Galway. Organisers of the official Arthur’s Day may have forgotten to include Athlone on Thursday September 23, but the Prince Bar hasn’t.
There will be Guinness-themed food during the day including carvery lunch and bar food from 5pm. Guinness will be €3.50 a pint the whole day and at 17.59 exactly all customers in the Prince Bar drinking Guinness will receive a complimentary baby guinness.
Arthur’s Day honours the remarkable legacy of Arthur Guinness, the pioneering brewer and philanthropist who signed the 9,000 year lease on the St James’s Gate Brewery in 1759 and introduced Guinness to the world. So don’t miss the craic at Prince Bar on Thursday September 23 and raise your pint “To Martha!”
