This Saturday provides a great opportunity for football folk in the region to meet a host of former and indeed some current greats of the game as they gather to launch the new fire and stove centre at Cempo Interiors Ltd in Blyry, Athlone.
Former Roscommon greats Tony McManus and Danny Murray, Offaly’s Sean Lowry, Dublin’s Keith Barr and Tommy Carr, Galway’s Kieran Fitzgerald as well as our own Rory O’Connell, Gary Connaughton, and Dessie Dolan are all expected to be there to mark the occasion on Saturday between 2pm and 3pm.
It’s not often so many All-Star holders will be together in the one place in the Midlands so expect plenty of lively banter and I’m sure a spot of reminiscing.
