Athlone Towncentre is once again showing its commitment to the local community by hosting an exhibition for the duration of the Euro-Festival week, July 24– 31.
This wonderful exhibition will showcase the talents of our finest artists and photographers on the theme of ‘Changing Times’. It brings together Athlone Arts Group and many of the best photographers from around the region, many of whom do not normally exhibit their work.
Changing Times will take place throughout Athlone Towncentre for the week, and will greatly add to the atmosphere of the festival. Anyone visiting the exhibition will also have the opportunity to make a donation to the Midlands Simon Community, which helps people to move out of homelessness.
Tony O’Riordan, CEO, Midlands Simon said, “We are absolutely delighted to be associated with the exhibition and would like to express our most sincere thanks to all involved, especially Mary Burrows from Athlone Arts Group, and Ann Hennessy for organising the exhibition, and I would also like to thank Shirley Delahunt and all in Athlone Towncentre for once again showing their support and commitment to the local community.
“Their support is fantastic and is an example of how when we work together we can all make a real difference in the lives of those who need help. I would also like to say a huge thank you to all the artists and photographers who have submitted their work. It is really great to see such an amount of talent on our doorstep, and would strongly encourage people to come along and see for themselves just how much quality is on display,”
