Annebrook honours Tiger Untamed winners Seven Days

Local band Seven Days were presented with a cheque by owner of the Annebrook House Hotel, Berty Dunne, on Friday last as part of their prize for winning the recent Tiger Untamed bands competition.

The Tiger Untamed bands competition started in March in Berty’s Bar at the Annebrook House Hotel. In association with Hot Press, four bands battled it out in each of six heat stages. The competition was judged by a panel of four well-known industry judges, with the audience making up the fifth judge.

This national bands competition was unique to Berty’s Bar, offering a considerable prize fund of over €20,000 to the overall winning band, including €5,000 cash, €6,000 worth of professional music equipment from Music Maker, a one-day professional photo shoot with Finnimaje, professional video shoot, five days recording in the Nutshed Studios, and 500 CDs of the recording!

The Annebrook House Hotel were delighted to play a pivotal role in the competition and to offer an event of this status in Mullingar.

Berty Dunne believes in providing opportunities for musicians to be able to showcase their talent. Any event that brings people to the town of Mullingar is hugely supported by the hotel as they firmly believe that Mullingar has a lot to offer visiting guests.

The final night saw huge crowds descend on the Annebrook House Hotel to see The Spikes, Peakin Trippers, Seven Days, and The Riptide Movement. The bands battled it out, playing 30 minutes apiece, and the judges and the audience cast their vote, resulting in Seven Days being crowned Tiger Untamed winners.
