Show your support for Seven Days at Tiger Untamed final

Tiger Untamed bands competition started on Friday March 19 in Berty’s Bar at the Annebrook House Hotel, Mullingar.

Tiger Untamed is a national bands competition in which 24 acts had been shortlisted by Hotpress from 100s of entries to take part in the series of six Tiger heats. Four bands battled it out in each of the heat stages. One band was chosen from each of the six heats and two wild cards were chosen to compete in the two semi-finals which were held on May 20 and 27. It was a very tough competition and it was clear to see that these bands are the best in Ireland. The judges will have a tough choice as will the audience, on the night of the final.

The competition is judged by a panel of four well known industry judges and the audience will make up the fifth judge on the night. All bands have been making a big effort to bring as much support as they can, as audience votes are just as important as the judges’ vote. It has made a big difference in a bands getting through to the final stages.

This national bands competition is unique to Berty’s Bar, which has offered a considerable prize-fund of over €20,000 to the overall winning band, including €5,000 cash, €6,000 worth of professional music equipment from Music Maker, one day professional photo shoot with Finnimaje, professional video shoot, five days recording in the Nutshed Studios, and 500 CDs of the recording.

The final is to take place on Friday June 11 and will feature the best four bands Ireland has to offer. It is easy to see that all the bands have put in tremendous effort to get to this stage of the competition.

The bands that are in the final are: Seven Days (Westmeath ); The Spikes (Dublin ); Peakin’ Tripers (Dublin ); and The Riptide Movement (Dublin ).

Westmeath band Seven Days are the only band in the final stage not from Dublin, so come support them in the final which is in Berty’s Bar on June 11.
