Vinyl back in Athlone

Record Fairs Ireland returns to Athlone in The Prince of Wales Hotel tomorrow, May 22.

The fair will feature a massive range of the uber-retro vinyl records spanning almost every era and every genre, from the 1950s right up to the present day, and including blues, metal, rap, alternative, punk, funk, post-rock to 80s rock, alongside all Irish and indie.

“There is literally something for everyone and every musical taste will be catered for,” according to local organiser, Pete Keegan.

If vinyl is the not to the taste of those thinking of attending, there is also a selection of hard-to-find CDs and DVDs on sale on the day.

For its’ many music lovers nothing can beat the crackle and purr of a vinyl record, but sadly it has become harder in recent years to buy and track down vinyl, but Record Fairs Ireland has been bringing a wide array to towns throughout the country.

Record Fairs Ireland has a Facebook page, titled Record Fairs Ireland, so if you want to keep up to date with locations of their forthcoming fairs, or have any special requests for a particular record or artist ahead of their Athlone fair then check it out.
