Do you like Chilean wines?

The mentality of the Julio Bouchon winery is of family tradition and a passion for wine. At Julio Bouchon, above all else, they believe in tradition and quality.

The history of the vineyards go back to 1892, when Emile Bouchon, a native of Bordeaux in France, arrived in Chile and settled down in the Maule Valley, south of Santiago. Current president and owner, Julio Bouchon Snr, and his son oversee everything that happens in the vineyards and the winery to ensure they produce only the very best wines, full of flavour and quality. The wines of Julio Bouchon are available exclusively from Wines Direct in Mullingar.

The company’s vineyards are located in the coastal rainfall area of the Maule Valley. The special weather conditions allow for the accumulation of warmth and aroma. Most of the vines are more than 60 years old, producing extremely high quality grapes. Julio Bouchon obtains excellent results with wines of deep colour and rich, fruity flavours. All grapes are handpicked, which ensures that only the finest selection of fruit is picked. This further adds to the high quality of the wines, giving excellent consistency.

Wines Direct, based at Lough Sheever Corporate Park in Mullingar (off the Castlepollard road ), are the only stockist of these excellent wines and import them directly from the vineyards in Chile. The wines represent outstanding value for money and are a must-try for fans of Chilean wine.

Wines Direct currently has a special offer on the wines of Julio Bouchon exclusively for readers of the Advertiser. See their advert in this edition for further details.
