Another new store for Athlone Towncentre

Barratts Shoes reopens for business in original unit

Just a week after Athlone Towncentre welcomed two new tenants in the form of James McBride Family Butchers and An Post, the centre this week announced the reopening of a shoe store which was part of the original line-up.

Athlone Towncentre is delighted to announce that Barratts Shoes is now open in its original unit on the ground floor of the centre. The store had remained closed since February 2009 after the company went into administration.

Asset manager with the centre’s managing agent Bannon, Emma Leonard, said that the addition of Barratts to the line-up would greatly enhance the centre’s offering to customers.

“Athlone Towncentre offers one of the best tenant mixes in the country. All of the top retailers are here in one place, and the location is central in the Midlands.

“We are delighted Barratts is back. From a customer perspective it brings a good range of shoes and offers value for money, and it will enhance the Athlone Towncentre brand,” she said.

The newly reopened Barratts now offers an extensive range of ladies’, men’s and children’s shoes, including brands such as Caterpillar, Skechers and Hush Puppies, with fantastic bargains and quality products. They also stock a very successful range of bridal shoes, as well as offering a 10 per cent discount to students.

Barratts brings the total number of dedicated shoe stores in Athlone Towncentre to three, along with Clarks and Shoe Art. For shoe shoppers, there are now 13 shops, including River Island, Top Shop, Zara, H&M, Next, Conspiracy, and Pepe Jeans, selling shoes to suit all events and matching all price ranges.

Barratts are located at ground floor level in Athlone Towncentre, near H&M and JD Sports.
