FÁS executive networking and support programme

FÁS is providing a unique development opportunity to facilitate transitional executives, professionals, specialists, and people with senior supervisory experience to re-assess and review their current situation and identify and successfully develop realistic new strategies to meet the challenging demands of a changing labour market.

Are you well motivated and seeking to acquire new skills to enable you re-engage quickly with the market place in either a full or part time capacity? Do you want to make a change in career direction or assess the feasibility of a new business start up? Then this programme may be for you.

The programme will be delivered one day per week over a period of eight weeks. Candidates potentially eligible to undergo this programme will include:

Personnel who have held a senior or middle management position.

Candidates may have completed some Continuous Professional Development (CPD ) in management, supervision, or any related professional or technical training.

Professionals, specialists, or senior technical experts, possibly with membership of a professional body together with a minimum of five years management experience in either a commercial or industrial environment.

Business professionals with sales and marketing experience.

Programme content will include:

Networking and building contacts

Managing the impact of change and transition.

Self-awareness

Skills audit/competency profiling

Executive coaching (group and one-to-one )

Advanced communication and presentation skills

CV building and interview skills

Review of entrepreneurial capability

Career campaign strategy

Maintaining momentum, self motivation, and life planning

There are no charges for this programms. Persons in receipt of allowances will continue to receive their entitlements. No allowances are paid by FÁS during the programme. The next programme will start in mid April 2010. The programme will be offered in Newbridge, Clane, and Athlone.
