The Rose of Tralee festival begins August 20 and celebrates its 51st anniversary of providing many women and men with new opportunities, fun, and many, many fond memories.
The Westmeath Rose of Tralee committee is looking for Westmeath companies to consider sponsoring a participating Rose. Taking part in the Westmeath Rose of Tralee festival as a sponsor would offer you an invaluable means of advertising opportunities for your business. Your Rose will wear her sash, which will have the company’s name across it, at all public events, photo opportunities, and selection night shows. She will be concidered your Rose, and will never be represented without her sash.
Not only will your company get great advertising opportunities, but for the Roses it will open many doors, create great opportunities, and create moments she will treasure for all her days. The Westmeath Rose of Tralee co-ordinator, Paula Gannon, a former Rose, says: “I experienced some of the most memorable, fun, and exciting days of my life while being involved, as well as making great friends. This is the reason I am now working as the Westmeath co-ordinator; I am happy to introduce more young women to the festival and hope for them the same experience I had.”
The cost of sponsoring a Rose is €250, a small price to pay, keeping in mind the advertising opportunities and the happiness and experience you will provide for your Rose.
If you are interested in becoming a Rose, there are a few considerations to be taken into account. A Rose should be aged between 18 and 28 and have never been married. If you have someone who works in your company or someone you would be happy to be represented by, an application form is available for free download via the Rose of Tralee website, along with other general information (Roseoftralee.ie ). Once completed, send the form to the address stated at the bottom of the application form. Send your application as soon as possible as centre finals take place throughout the year.
The Westmeath Rose of Tralee are also scouting escorts for the lovely Roses, with the winning escort going to Tralee for the festival as one of the international escorts. Again, if you know anyone who would like to be put forward as an escort, you can contact Paula Gannon at [email protected], who can forward you an application form.
