Record Fairs Ireland are heading back on the road, and are returning to Athlone for their first fair of 2010 to the Prince of Wales Hotel this Saturday March 6. The fair will feature a massive head-spinning range of vinyl records spanning almost every era and every genre - from the 1950s right up to the present day - from blues to metal, rap to alternative, punk to funk, post-rock to 80s rock and Irish to indie.
There is literally something for everyone and every musical taste will be catered for.
If vinyl is the not the food of love for those thinking of attending, then a selection of hard-to-find CDs and DVDs will also be on sale on the day. For its many music lovers nothing can beat the crackle and purr of a vinyl record, but sadly it has become harder in recent years to buy and track down vinyl, but Record Fairs Ireland has been bringing a wide array to towns throughout the country.
There will be plenty more fairs locally in the coming months with Mullingar on April 17 and Galway on March 27 already on the cards.
Record Fairs Ireland has a Facebook page, titled Record Fairs Ireland, so if you want to keep up to date with locations of their forthcoming fairs, or have any special requests for a particular record or artist ahead of their Athlone fair then check it out.
