Stars Of Our Bars talent competition is now coming to an exciting end with the semi-final to be staged tonight Friday March 5 and the final on Friday March 12, in Berty's Bar at the Annebrook House Hotel.
The competition has been running for the last number of weeks every Friday night to packed audiences and the semi-final and final nights promise to be exciting and entertaining.
Entries were received from all over and the judges had the unenviable job of picking the winners each week and of course the audience participation and voting helped to get their favourites over the line to qualify each week.
The winner of the semi-final and the final night will be chosen by the audience members alone - this is where the acts’ friends and supporters get the chance to shine - all audience members will be given a voting card on the semi-final and final night so the stronger the contestants’ support the greater their chances of qualifying for the county final.
This national talent competition is being promoted by the VFI and there is an overall prize fund of €50,000 sponsored by Smithwick’s.
The winner of the grand final of Berty’s Bar competition will go forward to the county final stage where the prize money for the winner is €1,000, and second and third prizes will be given. Additionally the prize money for the national winner is €7,500, €2,500 for second place, and €1,000 for third.
