Ben & Jerry’s calls on ice cream fans to trade fair

The founders of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, are calling on ice-cream lovers across the Midlands to get involved in ‘100 Fair Trades’.

To celebrate Ben & Jerry’s announcement on going 100 per cent Fairtrade by the end of 2011, local ice cream fans are invited to try out ‘100 Fair Trades’, an online competition where fans can trade for cool prizes such as a year’s supply of ice cream, trips to Fairtrade farms, and more on www.benjerry.ie Fans simply need to log on and bid on what they think is a Fair Trade for the prize of the day.

All Ben & Jerry’s flavours in Ireland will be converted to Fairtrade-certified ingredients by the end of 2011, across 58 flavours, 121 chunks and swirls and 11 ingredients, from Phish Food to Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
