Mick Flavin is one of Ireland's top country artists and it’s great to see him return to the beautiful Backstage Theatre, in his hometown of Longford on Thursday March 11 with his variety show.
The show consists of an all-star cast of the best variety acts in Ireland and includes comedy from funny man Frank Forde. Frank's comedy is firmly rooted in humorous storytelling, quick wit and ad-lib entertainment which is tailor-made to suit all age groups. Singer/songwriter Kevin Logue is one of Ireland's youngest talents, he has a beautiful mature voice and a real flair to write songs. He has recorded two albums and includes such songs as ‘Kiss Me’, ‘The Best Year We've Ever Seen’, ‘Hold On To Me’, and ‘Wild Slieve Russell Rose’.
The main man Mick Flavin has been picking his way to success over the past 23 years with 18 albums and three DVDs. He is one of the most successful entertainers in Irish country music with hundreds of awards and accolades to his credit. A robust vocalist capable of conveying startling emotion he boasts a catalogue of unique songs that include ‘The Old School Yard’ written specially for Mick about his days in Gaigue National School, Ballinamuck. ‘Maria's Heading Out To California’, ‘Wild Flowers’, and the title of his latest album I'll Share My World With You.
