Kiltoom Drama Group celebrate 20 years in panto style

With a decorated history of highly successful productions they are expected to bring the house down with the fun and frivolity of Little Red Riding Hood.

This hilarious panto revolves around Rosie (Little Red Riding Hood ), played by Lisa Nugent and her would-be prince, Rupert, played by David Murphy. Their romantic endeavours are thwarted by the interference from several quarters, not least by the wicked Count de Cash, played by Sean Arthur, and of course the big bad wolf.

The remainder of Rosie’s family all seem to have their own agendas which have a disastrous impact on the efforts of the young lovers to be together. Granny is played by May Cunningham, Mother is played by Ann Toohey, Gertrude is played by Jackie Cunnane, and Sternum, the Prince’s valet, is played by Jed Rowlands. Count de Cash’s footmen, Barry Murray and Laura Townsend play a dangerous two-sided game while Reggie, played by Siobhan Healy, is everybody’s friend to the last

A laugh a minute is guaranteed as local gags and other witty innuendo are added to the mix. Kiltoom Drama Group brings to life this hilarious panto in the traditional fashion with plenty of song and dance provided and aided by the children of the parish.

The play runs from January 14 to 17 in Kiltoom Parish Hall at 8pm. Also for their younger supporters there will be a matinee at 3pm on Sunday January 17.

Booking is essential. For more information call (087 ) 9014279.
