Whether you’re a fan of comedy or musical theatre, you’ll find some fine entertainment to brighten up the winter evenings in Athlone’s Dean Crowe Theatre next weekend.
On Saturday December 5, comedy favourite Jason Byrne brings his inspired, original brand of high-energy lunacy to Athlone. Jason’s fast, freewheeling style, fused with an array of off-beat props, makes his act a helter-skelter of a show where the audience is promised the ride of their lives.
He has been one of the fastest selling performers at the last 11 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, where his sell-out shows have attracted Best Headliner Chortle Award in 2007, a nomination for 1998 Perrier Newcomer Award, and then a much revered Perrier Award Nomination for his outstanding 2001 show. He was also winner for the 2004 Forth One Fringe Award and continues to play to packed houses throughout Ireland and the UK. Tickets are €20.
And on Sunday December 6, for all those die-hard Hannah Montana and High School Musical fans, the Dean Crowe presents the Best of Both Worlds - the All New Hannah Montana/ High School Musical Show!
This fantastic tribute show is a foot stompin’, all singin’ and dancin’ feast that will have even mums and dads on their feet! The Best of Both Worlds is the culmination of three months intensive choreography, vocal coaching, and drama rehearsals for a team of fully-trained young actors and performers.
Don't miss all your kids’ favourite sing-along songs from the phenomenon that is High School Musical 1, 2 and 3 plus a rockin' selection of anthems from everyone's favourite pop star, Hannah Montana. With a pumping soundtrack, the very best teenage performers in Ireland, and plenty of audience interaction, this is truly a show that will have your children singing and dancing all the way home!
The Best of Both Worlds takes place on Sunday December 6 at 3pm. Tickets are €12.50. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
