Re-Seisiun are a new, exciting and energetic music group based in Athlone. The traditional and popular music group consists of five young lads under the age of 20. Liam, Patrick, Keith, Stephen, and Conor are in the final of this year’s All Ireland Talent show. The next round is on RTE 1 on Sunday January 3 at 6.30pm.Vote throughout the series to keep the guys in the show until the end and crown them the winners.
All five members of the group are musically gifted and can turn their hands to many musical instruments including accordion, electric and bass guitar as well as low whistle, bodhran and drums.The five lads began playing music five years ago with the same teacher, James Donohue. The boys decided to come together and form the group Re-Seisiun. The very talented guys have recently won the award for best new and upcoming Irish Trad Group at the Irish Entertainment Awards 2009.
They see themselves as a new wave of Irish Trad being influenced by The Eagles and Horslips. The five lads are currently working really hard on their live show performance and are eager for the nation to get behind them and keep them in the show right to the end.
