Home Instead Senior Care has announced the forthcoming opening of a new franchise office in Westmeath.
The new business will be based in Mullingar, serving counties Westmeath, Offaly, and Longford.
The Mullingar office is being established by Teresa and Paul O'Reilly and will open for business in early November. They will provide opportunities for full-time and part-time employment. It is anticipate that some 100 new jobs will be created in the next three years between the new Mullingar office and a new office in Kildare.
The new offices will bring the total number of independently owned Irish franchise offices to 17, four of which opened in 2009. More offices are due to come on stream in 2010.
Home Instead Senior Care has provided employment opportunities for over 1,000 people in Ireland since 2005, many of whom would not have returned to the workforce otherwise. With the opening of the new offices the number of caregivers is expected to increase to over 2,000 by next year.
