Neven and McManus turn up the heat for Mount Temple school

One of Ireland’s best-known chefs, Neven Maguire, and Flogas distributor, John McManus of McManus Fuel Centre, will be turning up the heat together to raise funds for An Grianán National School in Mount Temple village.

On Wednesday November 11 at the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone, Neven is holding a cookery demonstration as part of a fundraising Food and Craft Fair for the school, at which his cousin Aine Curran is a teacher.

The Food and Craft Fair starts at 6.30pm with a wine and cheese reception. Neven will be taking centre stage at 8pm and, like all professional chefs, will use gas hobs to produce a range of delicious, delectable dishes for the audience.

John McManus of McManus Fuel Centre in Baylough, Athlone will be kindly donating all the necessary Flogas gas cylinders free of charge. John is an experienced distributor of Flogas bottled gas, including butane and propane, of 40 years standing in Athlone and the surrounding areas.

The €20 tickets for the event on Wednesday November11 are limited to 500 and are being snapped up like hot cakes, so if you want to enjoy one of Ireland’s top professional chefs in action and raise money for a good cause, telephone the school at (090 ) 6481085 and book your tickets soon.
