Collinstown company ES Digital Media Ltd has been selected as the best overall business winner of the 2008 County Westmeath Enterprise Awards which took place last week.
Eddie Stack and Glenda Doyle, owners of ES Digital Media, were presented with the award at the annual Westmeath County Enterprise Awards function. They will now go on to represent Westmeath in the regional competition to take place in October.
ES Digital Media set up in 2005 by Eddie Stack and Glenda Doyle, has three main strands - web development and page turning e brochure development; domain registration and hosting; and CD/DVD duplication, printing, and packaging.
Eddie and Glenda see the company as a one-stop shop for marketing; they can provide a company with domain registration and hosting, a website, content development, and duplication for DVD marketing. The judges found the owners to be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the business and noted the steady growth of the business and expansion into new areas.
Speaking at the awards evening, Christine Charlton, CEO, Westmeath County Enterprise Board, wished ES Digital Media good luck at the national finals and thanked all finalists involved in this year’s competition for taking the time to make their applications and meet the judges. She highlighted the excellent record which Westmeath entrepreneurs have had to date in the National Enterprise Awards. In 2003, Westmeath County Winner, Grouse Lodge Recording Studio Ltd, Rosemount won first place at the coveted National Enterprise Awards and went on to win joint first place at the World Young Business Achievers Awards in Bulgaria in 2004.
All the winners received cash prizes and a Celtic Roots presentation piece, while all the finalists received a Damien O’Brien handcrafted presentation piece.
The awards are part of the National Enterprise Awards, organised by the County and City Enterprise Boards in recognition of the contribution small enterprises give to the national economy.
