Athlone-based WYG Ireland has been short-listed for the prestigious Engineers Ireland Continuing Professional Development (CPD ) Company of the Year Award 2009.
The award recognises those companies or bodies that have demonstrated clear-cut business benefits arising directly from their CPD practices in developing engineering employees. WYG Ireland, located in the Old Bridge House, Strand Street, Athlone, has an entry titled WYG Ireland Graduate Development Programme.
John Power, director general of Engineers Ireland expressed his delight once again at the large number of high quality entries received.“Now, more than ever, Ireland needs to be innovative in its work practices and efficient in how it manages its resources. WYG Ireland’s focus on the education, development and enhancement of the skills of graduates shows these qualities in abundance and is a worthy addition to the 2009 final short-list.”
