Want to be in Ireland’s newest boy band?

Fancy following in the steps of Westlife and Boyzone? The time is ripe for a new boy band to inject energy into the music business, and talented young men from across the Midlands are being sought to try out for this exciting opportunity.

In association with renowned international music manager Kim Glover, Irish company GB Entertainments are proud to be holding auditions in the Sugar Club in Dublin on October 17 and 18. The management companies have joined forces to source raw young talent within Ireland and to put together and manage a new boy band that will be become the new face of pop.

The successful candidates will be taken to London four weeks after the auditions to be styled and trained, record Ireland’s next number one hit single, and get ready to tour the world!

Founder of GB Entertainments, Gordon Maher, from Westmeath, is looking forward to the auditions process and is encouraging singers from his native county to turn up for the auditions on the day.

“This new Irish boy band will follow in the footsteps of Westlife and Boyzone, and when the band is chosen will get to work with Kim and a top team of producers. There are big plans for the group,” says the Ballynacargy man

Kim Glover herself will be in Dublin this October to hold the auditions for the new group, which she will personally manage and which is sure to be a success if her previous bands are anything to go by.

Kim is chief executive of Kim Glover Management, based in London, and is one of the most influential music managers in the world. She is best known for overseeing the careers of New Kids on The Block, Let Loose, and B*witched, and of course PJ and Duncan whose pop career, guided by Kim, was the launch pad for Ant and Dec’s continued success. She also helped to manage and develop the careers of Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, David Essex and others.

Kim is looking forward to the auditions process and she is sure that Ireland’s new talent is out there waiting for the chance to shine and be discovered.

Auditions are open to males from the age of 16 up, and will take place over two days on Saturday and Sunday October 17 and 18 in Dublin’s Sugar Club, Leeson Street, Dublin 2. Initial auditions will take place on the Saturday, and all successful candidates will be called back for a final audition on Sunday.
