Westmeath to host national rural business seminar

Developing an action plan to secure the future of rural shops and businesses at the heart of rural communities is the objective of a national seminar being held in Castlepollard, Co Westmeath on Tuesday, September 29.

Irish Rural Link is holding the seminar entitled ‘Strengthening Rural Business in Challenging Times’ in association with Russell Brennan Keane.

This seminar hopes to discuss the concerns and experiences of rural business people, with the aim of developing a practical plan of action to protect rural business and enterprise and their role in the local economy and social life. It will look at how local authorities, Government, communities, and business people themselves can best secure the future of rural retailers and businesses.

All rural business people are welcome to the seminar, which takes place at 10am on Tuesday September 29.
