Mullingar people are taking part in a new initiative to get healthy and feel fit and have lots of fun.
Over the past three weeks large numbers have turned up at the grounds of Mullingar Harriers Athletic Club to take part in the Meet and Train sessions.
These sessions are open to everyone, male and female, walkers and joggers, fit and not so fit.
The purpose of the event is to promote a healthy lifestyle in a supportive and social atmosphere. The session starts at 7pm and finishes at 8pm, all levels of fitness are catered for and experienced trainers are on hand to lend support and offer advice.
To get involved simply turn up at the grounds of the Mullingar Harriers at 7pm any Wednesday (located just off the C-link road beside the Educate Together National School ), wear comfortable clothes and runners.
If you are worried about your level of fitness or you have an existing medical condition it might be advisable to get in touch with your GP before taking part and they will help you to take the next step!
