Harry O’Rourke and Emma Fagan had triple triumphs at the Junior Club Championships at Athlone Tennis Club, sponsored by Temple Printing, which were played during the past week. This competition had young players from under 10 to 18 competing for eight cups and lots of trophies.
The championships were efficiently run by Martin O’Rourke and Lisa Brennan, while Ciaran Temple, representing Temple Printing, presented the winners and runners-up with their cups and trophies.
This competition was the culmination of the daily tennis scene for the club’s young players, and in spite of the lack of summery weather, it was a well attended and enjoyable two months for all.
