A new tourism initiative, promoting great value deals for holidays in Ireland’s Lakelands region, will reach over one million newspaper readers around Great Britain this weekend.
Approximately 1.1 million copies of the eight-page promotional tourism supplement will be distributed in national British newspapers, including The Observer and Sunday Telegraph, highlighting the tremendous value for money available for holidays in Westmeath and Ireland’s Lakelands region this summer. The supplement promotes 40 great value deals including offers for the Athlone Springs, Hodson Bay and Shamrock Lodge hotels in Athlone, Hotel Castlepollard, Bloomfield House and Annebrook House hotels in Mullingar, and Glasson Golf Hotel and Wineport Lodge at Glasson.
Niall Gibbons, chief executive of Tourism Ireland, said, “This year, it is more competitive than ever before in the Great Britain market and, naturally enough, value and price are absolutely critical for the consumer. Tourism Ireland is placing significant emphasis on value for money offers, to drive home to Great Britain consumers our message about the superb range of offers available in Westmeath and around the island of Ireland.”
