True Gourmet Burger is the newest eaterie to open in Athlone. Serving delicious, fresh, homemade burgers along with a selection of appetizers, soups, and deserts, TGB offer quality food at a resonable price.
Athlone-native and chef Warren Summers has created a mouth watering selection of burgers to suit every taste. There are three types of burgers on the menu. The True Gournmet Burgers are 8oz burgers made from 100 per cent Irish Angus beef. You can choose from the Original; the Breakfast which includes a burger dressed with bacon and fried egg; and the italian Job with rocket, parmesan and pesto sauce, to name but a few.
There is also a selection of TGB Opens which includes the delicious Rossopomodoro, a mouth watering burger topped with a rich bacon spicy tomato sauce.
If you’re looking for something a little bit different try one of their 99ers which include natural and organic flavouring mixed into the burger such as the green curry flavoured burger with onions, lettuce, pineapple, and mint yougurt. All burgers are served with homemade chips and salad.

TGB promises customers a comfortable and friendly environment along with fresh homemade food. Open from noon until 10pm it’s the ideal location for tasty lunch or relaxing evening meal, or just a coffee and some cake! There are lunch specials on each day as well as a chef special.
Customers can avail of the house wine and beer or bring their own bottle, with no corkage. TGB also has special family friendly offers for two adults and two children at €49.
