Darragh J Glennon releases his debut album

Since the release of his first top 10 download, ‘For My Love’, Darragh J introduced his follow-up number five download, Smile, and is on the verge of releasing his debut album, Detour, this Bank Holiday Sunday, August 2 at The Stables, Mullingar.

The 10 track album includes both top ten hits plus eight other tracks.  In his own words: "[This album] marks a defining moment in my life.  Without sounding insane, the songs are an exploration of my relationship with myself but are crafted in such a way that there is an inclusion of universal themes such as love, life and death which I think many people could relate to. The last five years of playing music is finally captured on a record and I owe a great deal to the music community of Mullingar and especially its supporters for their help."

Recorded, mixed, and produced by Niall Masterson (Innate ) and mastered by Karl Odlum (The Frames, Mic Christopher ), the album includes performances from great local musicians Ricky Byrne, Tommy Moore, and Amy Quirke also.

Support on the night comes from up and coming local musicians Red Cub as well as Keith and Paulie (formerly of Decipher ) and the wistfully elegant Mike Cole.

Admission on the night is €10 which includes a free copy of the album upon entry if you get down early. Doors are at 9.50pm sharp. A great night is guaranteed.
