Golfing for Autism returns to Esker Hills

It’s that time of year again when the annual Ballinamere National School Autism Golf Classic takes place in Esker Hills. This year’s Classic is on Friday July 24 with the option of time slots the previous day if required.

Golfing For Autism is looking for your support again this year by taking part in the event, so banish those recession blues for a few hours at least with a great day’s enjoyment.

Conscious of the current downturn in the economy and the strain on personal finances, there is no increase in entry fee this year. If you are unable to enter a team or are unavailable/ non-golfer you are invited to sponsor a tee-box or make a donation towards the event, a gesture which would be very much appreciated.

Over recent years this event has become a must for inclusion in any golf enthusiast’s calendar and many celebrities have taken part from the world of sport, music, and entertainment not least our own Shane Lowry, who honed his skill on this very course.

Almost €20,000 was raised at last year’s event and the proceeds were used to enhance the facilities for the children who attend the Special Unit in the nearby school.

To arrange suitable tee times, please contact Esker Hill at (057 ) 9355999.
