Auctioneers ERA Oates, 2 Northgate Street, Athlone held a very successful auction at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel last week.
On offer were three lots:
Lot one - 10 Acres at Townland America, Ballydangan, Co Roscommon. Bidding for this parcel was opened at €90,000 and after 40 bids the property was sold in trust to a local solicitor, Martin Eagan, at €172,000 or €17,200 per acre.
Lot two – Comprised circa one acre of callow at Cloonburren, Moycarn, Co Roscommon. Bidding opened at €1,000 and sold at €4,600.
Lot three - Comprised circa 22 acres with residence at Derrylahan, Moore, Co Roscommon. This lot was withdrawn at €250,000. However the auctioneers are actively negotiating on this lot at present and expect a successful sale.
