Fianna Fáil has confirmed that seven candidates have been added to the party’s ticket to contest their respective Roscommon electoral areas in the upcoming local elections on June 7.
The seven candidates contesting Roscommon for the party include James Murray, Sean Moylan, Aidan Sampe and Larry Brennan, as well as sitting councillors, Cllr John Keogh, Cllr Marty McDermott and Cllr Paschal Fitzmaurice.
Commenting on the Fianna Fáil local election ticket in Roscommon, local Senator Eugene Murphy said all candidates are campaigning to effect positive change in their local communities.
“We are focusing on a positive campaign and each of our candidates would be an excellent addition to our sitting county councillors who are seeking re-election,” Senator Murphy stated.
“Each candidate standing for the party in the Local Election brings with them considerable community, business and voluntary experience.
“They are all familiar with and passionate about tackling the issues that are important to us all in our everyday lives and, if elected, I know they would do an excellent job representing local people on Roscommon County Council.”
