Local Fine Gael councillor, John Dolan, has welcomed the provision of a new ride-on lawnmower for the residents of Brawny enabling continued maintenance of the green area.

“I assisted with the reformation of a new resident’s group in the Brawny estate last year following a long period with no group in situ. Following the formation of this group, I secured a commitment from the council to supply a new ride-on lawnmower for the residents to maintain the large grass area in the estate.

“I am delighted to say that a new ride-on lawnmower was presented to the residents’ group recently with the funding provided by the council. This is just the latest support from Westmeath County Council to ensure that the estate is continually well presented.

“This is a hardworking new residents’ group who have held a number of very successful tidy ups and different events for the children at Halloween and Christmas and I know that the group have many more plans going forward.

“This latest addition will allow the residents to continue to improve Brawny estate and I know that Westmeath county Council will be there to support the group in anyway they possibly can,” Cllr Dolan concluded.
