Sidero, an Ireland-based engineering services and cloud-native software development company with deep technology specialisation in the communications vertical, with a base in Monksland, Athlone, has announced the merger completion and will operate as GlobalLogic (a Hitachi Group Company ) in Ireland following its acquisition by the digital engineering leader in July 2023.
As a result of the merger, the combined strengths of the newly integrated companies bolster GlobalLogic’s capabilities across dynamic communications technologies such as Radio Access Networks (RAN ), Self-Optimising Networks (SON ), Cloud, and Agile development practices, a clear complement to GlobalLogic’s deep engineering portfolio.
Some 15 of GlobalLogic’s top 50 customers have an Irish presence. In particular, the company plans to drive growth in the technology, life sciences, and MedTech sectors in Ireland. As the use of AI in technology continues to accelerate, GlobalLogic will build on its expertise in the AI space to deliver innovative solutions and services to its customers.
