The full year review recently published by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI ) shows clear evidence of growing momentum, in both demand and supply, for green home energy upgrades in Ireland.
More than 47,900 home energy upgrades were carried out across all schemes administered by SEAI, an increase of 76% year on year.
This increase suggests there is a growing appreciation by homeowners of the benefits of carrying out home energy upgrades, in terms of comfort, reduced running costs and sustainability. Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union is working with its members through our Greenify loan product, a home energy upgrade offering, to help finance their home energy upgrades. Loans up to €75,000 over 10 years are available to homeowners looking to greenify their homes.?

Grants available through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI ) and Greenify loans from Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union can help make home energy improvements a more accessible option. The SEAI offer individual energy upgrade grants that allow homeowners to take a step-by-step approach to carrying out upgrades. Grants are available for several types of upgrades including attic insulation, wall insulation, heating controls, heat pump installation and solar.??
