Europcar, Ireland’s leading mobility service provider, has confirmed the opening of a relocated Athlone branch at a new premises in the Diskin Centre, Golden Island, as part of a €3 million investment in regional expansion.
The company is committed to making transport solutions available to even more people across Ireland in 2024, as a sustainable and flexible alternative to private vehicle ownership. The new locations bring Europcar’s nationwide network of branches in Ireland to a total of 26, and also includes access to over 1400 EV charging stations across the Republic of Ireland, for customers who avail of Europcar’s range of Electric Vehicles.
The company announced its car sharing service GoCar has also expanded its presence in the regions with the addition of four new bases, two of which are in Midlands towns, namely Mullingar and Tullamore.

The full range of Europcar Mobility Services will be available at the new Athlone location, for both private retail and commercial customers, including hybrid and electric cars, that are available to rent from just a day to longer-term use.
