USIT announces new Camp USA 2024 offer, the Go-To First Work Abroad Programme

USIT has announced its all-inclusive Camp USA package for Summer 2024.

This programme is not just another summer camp; it’s a considered introduction to international work experience, tailored for first and second year college students but open to anyone up to the age of 30. The Camp USA package offers a two-month placement as a camp counsellor in the United States, complete with a guaranteed minimum salary of $2,000, food, accommodation, and comprehensive insurance coverage. A special discount is available for those who book by October 31, slashing the programme cost from €399 to just €299.

Camp USA is a unique blend of fun and personal growth, both for participants and the children they guide. Attendees are carefully matched with camps where their interests—whether in sports, arts, or crafts—come alive. Amidst the laughter and excitement, they also gain valuable skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and organization. These enriching experiences not only contribute to their own development but also make them more competitive in future careers, all while creating unforgettable summer memories for themselves and the children they mentor.

One of the standout features of Camp USA is the emphasis on global networking. Participants will have the opportunity to forge enduring friendships with fellow camp counsellors from around the world—Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and beyond. These connections offer a more diverse cultural perspective and a potential international support network. Furthermore, the programme covers all essential costs, including insurance and the SEVIS fee, thereby offering a hassle-free experience for all participants. As a cherry on top, a parting gift of up to $2,000 helps subsidise any post-camp travel plans.

“Going to Summer Camp in the USA was such a great choice for our daughter Kiera and she grew so much and gained so much self-confidence during her time away from home. I love the skills she learned, and the friends she made from all over the world. She has talked about it non-stop since she got home,” speaking of her daughter’s experience at Camp USA, Marian Grice, said.

USIT makes the payment process straightforward with a flexible payment plan that starts with a modest €49 deposit. Though additional costs like the $185 US Embassy interview fee and local GP fees are not covered, a free police check is available at local Garda stations. The programme is designed to run for 8-10 weeks from early June to early August, making it a viable option even for students with early college commitments.
