Dublin born photographer will host an exhibition of his work entitled ‘Memories Through The Lens’ at the Athlone Art Gallery in The Village @ Burgess, Lloyds Lane.
Since he bought his first SLR Nikon camera as a teenager in the 1970s, Joe has been photographing the people and places dear to his heart. A barrister by profession, photography has been an enduring passion, and his work has been published in magazines and newspapers.
His exhibition is an eclectic mix of landscape, portrait and street photography. It chronicles life, capturing the light on landscapes, beloved faces and human connections, preserving them through an alchemy of eye, lens and digital darkroom.
Chairman of The Irish Arts review, and long term friend of Barnes, Jack Mulcahy, will formally open the exhibition on Friday, November 3, at 6pm in The Athlone Art Gallery, The Village at Burgess, Lloyds Lane Athlone.
The exhibition runs until November 22 and all are welcome to visit. For further information contact Alastair on 0868051246.
