Could you be your own boss?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be self-employed? For many of us, it is something we might have considered from time to time but generally a good job offer or a chance to return to education took us down a different path. Now in these changing times, setting up your own business is one of the main routes to securing an income for yourself.

Well, an upcoming seminar in the Annebrook House Hotel, Mullingar on July 7 will outline what it takes to run a successful business and what is involved in being self-employed. Delivered by Brian O’Kane, the best selling author of ‘Starting Your Own Business’ and ‘Be Your Own Boss’, Brian has coached thousands of people on getting started. He will guide you through a step by step process in setting up your own business and ensure you that it’s not as hard as you think. Organised by Westmeath County Enterprise Board, the main agency supporting people in establishing their own business, there will also be support on the day from business advisors who can answer all your questions and you can arrange to meet them on a one-to-one basis if you choose.

The half-day seminar is open to all but will be of particular interest to those considering self-employment. Please note you are not required to have a business idea to attend. The good news is there is no fee but booking is essential.

The seminar will commence at 2pm and will conclude at 5pm on Tuesday July 7. To reserve your place please book online at www.westmeath-enterprise.ie or contact Westmeath County Enterprise Board on (044 ) 9349222.
