Insomnia Athlone café has been selected as a Retail Excellence Top 100 store.
Retail Excellence is the largest retail industry representative organisation in Ireland. The 'Top 100' stores comprise of retailers from around the country in every sector within the Irish Retail Industry. The awards were established in 1997 to promote best practice and encourage high standards in the Irish retail industry and are now the largest and most prestigious of its kind in Ireland. This year's Top 100 selection process was fiercely competitive, with hundreds of retailers from various sectors vying for a spot on the prestigious list.
As part of the 'Top 100' selection process, all store entrants were visited by a mystery shopper, with those exceeding service and standards criteria making it to the 'Top 100' stores.

With its prime location in the heart of Athlone and a warm and inviting ambience, the café has become a much loved spot for both locals and visitors, offering an extensive menu of Fairtrade Coffee, delectable milkshakes and Irish dairy ice cream, freshly baked pastries, delicious treats and handcrafted sandwiches.
