In addition, Ukrainian and international youths were supported to attend from their accommodations centres across the county.

The event provided both structured and unstructured play, hosting nature camps, magic shows and face-painting, as well as different sports tasters like soccer skills, karate, orienteering, pickleball and table tennis.

An area was made available to the youngest of guests who participated in giant jenga and pot luck to name but a few activities. A picnic was also provided for the attendees and a small toy provided to all those in attendance.

This year's Play Day was supported by Westmeath County Council, Westmeath Community Development, Westmeath Sports Partnership, Westmeath Public Participation Network, Athlone Family Resource Centre and Athlone Regional Sports Centre.
