Insomnia Coffee, Ireland’s leading independent coffee shop chain, is delighted to announce the opening of its newest café in Athlone.
The eagerly anticipated addition to the vibrant coffee scene in Athlone is set to bring exceptional handcrafted Fairtrade Coffee, delectable milkshakes and ice cream, delicious treats, and a cosy atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
Situated in the heart of Athlone, the new Insomnia Coffee café will be located at RBK House, Irishtown, making it easily accessible for coffee lovers from all over the town. The café boasts a welcoming and inviting design, reflecting Insomnia’s commitment to creating warm and friendly spaces for its customers to relax and enjoy a coffee.

The Athlone team will be led by café manager Daniel and supervisor Izabela, who customers will know from Penneys Athlone. They will be joined by Deirdre, Darryl, Pawel and Evan. The Athlone café will open Monday to Wednesday from 08:00am until 06:00pm, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00am until 07:00pm and Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays from 08:00am until 06:00pm.
Celebrating 25 years in business, Insomnia Coffee is renowned for its dedication to serving handcrafted coffee made from premium Fairtrade beans. The Athlone café will feature a carefully crafted menu, offering an extensive range of speciality coffees, including expertly brewed flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos and more. In addition, customers can indulge in a selection of freshly baked pastries, sandwiches, and healthy snacks, ensuring there is something to satisfy every palate.
This summer, Insomnia will put their expertise in exciting Irish taste buds to good use with the new ice cream and milkshake range. The summer menu includes delicious versions of some of the nation’s favourite classic flavours, like; banana split milkshake, raspberry and white chocolate milkshake as well as scrumptious crowd-pleasers like the Nutella sundae.
