Beezneez return with hilarious three act comedy

Since forming over a decade ago, Leitrim-based Beezneez Theatre Company has gone from strength to strength. It has since become one of the most popular touring companies in Ireland and Beezneez productions play to full houses in theatres as far apart as Dublin and Manorhamilton.

This July they return with the hilarious three-act A Wake in the West, which the group themselves have described as the funniest comedy they have ever worked on. As part of Roscommon Arts Centre’s InsideOut programme, A Wake in the West perform in Elphin Community Centre in Wednesday July 22 before moving to the Convent of Mercy Secondary School, Roscommon on Thursday July 23.

Not content with drinking himself to death, Tom Healy makes a last request to be buried in the drink (at sea ). His wish creates havoc in his house and in his local community, with some believing he is not entitled to ‘take it all with him’. In this riot of a comedy, his neighbours vie with each other to secure a piece of Tom before his exit.

This absolute madcap evening of fun and frolics will leave you sore from laughter. An umbrella organisation, Beezneez was established with the objective of giving top class amateur theatre practitioners in the Sligo/ Leitrim/ Longford area the opportunity to work together on specific touring productions. With just a few weeks to go before the performances, reserve your tickets now through through Roscommon Arts Centre at (090 ) 6625824.
