Representatives from Athlone Gymnastics Club claimed medals at the recently hosted women’s artistic national all around and apparatus championships in the National Sports Arena Blanchardstown.
The club had 11 gymnasts participate in this very competitive event, some of them for the first occasion. Amazing results were achieved of which the club are immensely proud.
Over 1,600 gymnasts participated in competition over a two day period, congratulations being afforded to Isla, Saoirse, Laoise, Emilia, Eva, Sarah, Mya, Katie, with particular mention to the medal winners Kate (gold on beam and bronze all around ), Aoibhinn (silver on beam ) and Niamh (silver on vault ).
A special word of gratitude is expressed to the club’s dedicated coaches, Elisha, Saoirse and Tara, who work so hard to have the gymnasts at their best on the day.
