Tubberclair GAA reflected upon a positive year for the club as thoughts now turn towards the new year and the hope for further progressive both on and off the field of play!
The club enjoyed a few fantastic days on the pitch, especially in early October, with brave intermediate squad reaching the county final, but ultimately losing out to Shandonagh after two titanic battles. This young squad travelled a long way in 2022 and represented the club with pride and honour and they will have learned a lot during a great season.
The club's superb minors won the Division 1 championship, beating St Lomans, on top of annexing the league title earlier in the season, a momentous achievement for the club.
This was a historic couple of weeks for the club in Cusack Park and a credit to everyone involved in underage over the past decade or more, an endorsement of all the work and meticulous coaching, and nurturing of talent, in that time. Thank you sincerely to all the club's coaching teams, from nursery right up to Martin and the adult management teams, for their continued dedication and loyalty to the Tubberclair GAA.
Again, this fantastic coaching work bore fruit at county level, with players involved in the Westmeath minor (Kyle Fagan, James Clarke and Finn Duffy ) and Under 20 (Sean Claffey and Matthew Whittaker ) squads. The club also had players involved in the Westmeath underage development squads again this year.
Congratulations is also extended to the club's Under 15s who won the shield final in September and the Under 11s who won the Caulry Shield in October.
The coaching structures within the club are very strong, Tubberclair GAA's ethos being about encouragement, fun and inclusivity, so everyone is always welcome.
Thanks is afforded to the club executive and all those involved administratively in the club. The commitment of everyone involved to the safety, and well-being of all the club members, and wider community, continues to be a credit to all involved.
Thank you to everyone in the wider community who continued to support the club's teams, both by attending games, and financially, through the Lotto, and the successful race night this year. The GAA club belongs to everyone in the community and the race night, along with the Lotto, are primary annual fundraisers to look after the extensive running costs of running Tubberclair GAA. The local Community has always been very generous in supporting the club, and the executive members are indebted to you all for this support.

The club would like to take this opportunity to wish all members, players and those associated with the club in any capacity, a happy, safe and peaceful Christmas season and also wish everyone a healthy and prosperous 2023.
Tubberclair GAA especially thinks of all the families in the community who have who lost loved ones during this year, particularly those who passed away over the past 12 months.
