Irish Medical Times notes oxygenation benefits in new in-depth publication

Journalist Michael McHale writing in the November 4 issue of the Irish Medical Times reviewed Brian Lynch’s book, Oxygenation is the Solution. Deaths from Covid-19 and Global Legal Insights for Medical Practice: An Insider’s Perspective.

“The treatment of Covid-19 patients is where the book’s story begins. Five patients in the US in April 2020 in a reported case study opted to use hyperbaric oxygenation rather than mechanical ventilation oxygenation and they all survived,” the Irish Medical Times said.

‘An absolutely crucial issue is to understand at the outset that some of these professionals mistakenly think that if they recommend to a client what is standard of care in their clinical practice guidelines, and they practice to this standard, they are safe from being successfully sued. However, in this case, they are wrong because more information is required for a legitimate informed consent,’ the book remarks.

“It’s very respectful of the medical community, nonetheless the law is hammered home. The book surprised and excited me. I wished I read it 50 years ago. Yesterday, one of my patients read the complete book as she was being coerced into taking part in a medical trial for six weeks for a new chemotherapy drug she did not want to be part of,” Dr Robert Pender, at 4 Harley Street, London, commented.
